If you're thinking about purchasing a camera, or you have an expensive camera and don't know where to start, then you have come to the right place. My name is Jason, and I specialize in portrait photography in the north Dallas, TX area.

I offer 1-on-1 in-person photography tutoring and camera training for beginners or aspiring photographers in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.

Photography Tutoring Sessions

Not everything can be taught in 2 hours, but my goal is to teach you some of the basics of photography and help you with hands-on shooting so you can learn from a guided tour of your gear.

• Learn basic camera settings
• Learn how to take better photos
• Camera file types and creative workflow
• Lens options and differences in focal lengths
• Shooting modes including: Automatic mode, Aperture priority, Shutter Priority & Manual Mode
• The basics of Aperture, Shutter, and Iso (exposure triangle) while shooting photos on-site
• What is white balance, and how to set it in the camera
• Other photography accessories and gear
• Q&A time if needed

With this in-person photography lesson, you should walk away with a better understanding of basic camera settings and a good idea of how to take better photos. You won't learn it all, but you will be more confident with your camera and gear.

To keep it simple, I offer two session options that we can customize to get the most out of our training session.

1-on-1 Starter Session

You have a camera, and now is the time to learn how to use it. Let me teach you the basics of natural light photography and get you taking better photos in under 2 hours. Ask as many questions as you need and learn as we shoot.

Session Time - 1/Hours Long
Max People Learning - 2 onsite
Price - $150

Private Q&A Session

You've taken the starter session and need to ask more in-depth questions after some practice. This is a perfect way to get more of your questions answered and help you move forward with your creative photos.

Session Time - 1/Hour increments
1-on-1 Training Only
Price - $75/hr
(3-hour maximum single session)

What Happens After The Booking?

Once you book a session, we will arrange a time and a public place to meet so we can go over your camera and basic settings. The starter session can be 1-on-1, or you can bring a friend and learn together.

The maximum number of people allowed for training is 2 per session. This keeps it small, and I can answer as many questions within the allowed time.
